How to Make Homemade Raspberry Frozen Yoghurt
Making homemade frozen yoghurt or ice cream is so easy. I recommend you use a high-power blender if you have one as that makes all the difference. All you need to do is add the ingredients all together and blitz them until completely smooth, you should have a thick consistency.
Spoon or pour the frozen yoghurt into a freezer-safe container, I use my banana loaf tin as that never lets me down and always keeps the frozen yoghurt cool when I remove it from the freezer.
Freeze for at least six hours or overnight, this part is crucial. It takes a while to set properly but the result is so worth it!
Tips for the Ingredients
This frozen yoghurt recipe only has three ingredients, yes you heard me right! Three ingredients to make a cracking dessert or snack, it is pretty much a no-brainer. You only need:
Frozen raspberries: any kind will do and, they won’t break the bank either. If you feel up to it, you can always freeze fresh raspberries for a minimum of four hours and use them instead.
Yoghurt: You can use either natural plain yoghurt or even a flavoured one with a little coconut or vanilla! For an extra thick consistency, use Greek Yoghurt, it will almost look like the type of soft serve you would get straight out of a machine.
Honey: This seems to be the sweetener that adds the most natural way to enhance the flavour of the raspberries without sweetening them up too much! Note that if you prefer the natural tartness of the raspberries, make sure to leave this out!
Of course, to top it off you can always add a handful of fresh raspberries, blueberries and a teaspoon of honey to sweeten it up and offset the tartness of the raspberries.
Trust me, you will love it!
